Christian formation and on going religious education is a life long process. The young people of our parish are invited to join with their peers as they continue their faith journey and fully participate in the parish community. Youth Ministry strives to meet their personal, social and spiritual needs and involve them in the life and mission of the Church.

SEAS YOUTH MISSION STATEMENT:  To help the youth of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and any other interested youth to:

Ø  sustain and encourage an active and alive relationship with God,

Ø  to fulfill an active role in the church,

Ø  appreciate and love the Catholic faith,

Ø  put into action Catholic Christian beliefs in the world.

SEAS YOUTH GROUPS

Ø     S.P.I.R.I.T  Special People Into Really Interesting Things!:  This extremely active group for middle school youth meets bi-weekly on Fridays at 6:30–8:00 pm in Seton Hall. This group encourages spiritual growth and provides socialization in a Christian setting while having fun!

Ø     Sunday Night Live:  Students in 9th–12th grades meet Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm in the Youth Room. Members participate in parish activities, youth retreats and conferences, service projects, sports, and explore faith themes integral to their stage of life. They seek to empower one another to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

Ø     SEAS Coffeehouse:  High school and community college students meet every Wednesday night at 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the Youth Room during the school year. This faith-sharing event involves media discussion, great coffee, and dynamic conversation.

Ø     Urban Plunge:  Senior high youth participate in a weeklong mission trip to serve the poor and needy. Work crews paint houses, build wheelchair ramps, replace screens and do yard work. Through intense prayer, hard work and varied activities students share their gifts of energy and youth as they open their hearts to help others.

Ø     Vacation Bible School:  A weeklong summer program for children kindergarten through grade five. Teens and adults lead the children in a fun way to experience faith as they engage in crafts, music, scripture drama, and recreation.
