OUTREACH MINISTRY

The Outreach Ministry is a community resource for people in need. The following services are provided:

Ø     Outreach Office:  Direct assistance for clients in need of food or financial assistance. The Outreach office is located on the church campus and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm or by appointment;

Ø     St. Francis Soup Kitchen: Volunteers help prepare and serve meals to the hungry and homeless in St. Augustine on the fourth Sunday of the month;

Ø     Golden Agers Luncheon:  Four times a year a luncheon is prepared for senior citizens who may be alone, ill, or who may not otherwise get a chance to socialize with others;

Ø     Camps Promise and I Am Special:  Sponsor two children to attend these summer camps for the benefit of handicapped children. Prepare and deliver meals one day at each camp;

Ø     Family Life/Safe House:  Volunteers support the operation of Safe House, a shelter for battered or abused women and children;

Ø     C.A.R.E. Ministry:  Volunteers follow-up with clients in their homes to provide assistance with job training, budgeting, and other ways to assist them in being independent;

Ø     Global or National Disasters:  Outreach takes leadership in relief measures during these times by taking special collections.
