The goal of this ministry is to enhance the knowledge and appreciation of the unique gifts that black Catholics have contributed to the church in the past and present. This ministry is open to ALL members of the parish, regardless of ethnic background or national origin. We offer several special Masses annually for saints of African heritage and those saints who have encouraged and supported African Americans. We also conduct book and film reviews, lectures, small group discussions and bible study and have special guest speakers from time to time. The ministry sponsors a jazz concert annually with proceeds contributing to the Catholic education of children.
