ALTAR SERVERS

Altar servers are responsible for assisting the priest and deacon, and at some events, the bishop, as the Christian community celebrates the Eucharist and other liturgical services.

Open to children in the fourth grade or higher and are active members of this parish. All children are encouraged to serve until they have graduated high school although that is not required. Children attending St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School will also be asked to serve the school Mass which is on a weekday, while those attending public schools would be required to serve on the weekend or Sunday Masses and the holydays.

Applications are always accepted and a formal training period is provided.
